Blue butterfly(poem)
On the surface are bumps
Mounds
Cuts
Creases
Some patches darker than others
Overall a golden brown
My fingers brush across my skin,
And there it is.
The indentation of my secret
The only thing that keeps it hidden is a piece of fabric
The indentation
My butterfly
She lies there
Patiently
Quietly
Wings smothered by chains
Waiting -waiting -waiting
To be set free.
My Tattoo Experience
So ive had quite a few people email me asking about the reason why i chose this particular design and how did it feel getting it.
As for the pain, to me it felt like a sunburn being rubbed, the closer to the colar bone she got the more it hurt. It was bearable, and not so bad, but i wont downplay it, on the colar bone it was very much like a painful burn.
The reasons for me getting my tattoo are many, the biggest one being that i was influenced by the quote: “butterflies are gods proof that we can have a second chance at life ” . I went through many things, during the process the old me died and the new was born. The blue represents my uniqueness, ive always felt odd, and for many years my hair was blue to show that i wasnt like every other person. And my pentacle represents what i have always believed in, the earth, and its energy, the elements and their spirit. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
